Position Title- Project Manager – Geotechnical Engineering
Location- Delray Beach Florida
ENGINEER / Project Manager
Candidate shall possess a Florida PE. and have approximately 5 to 10 years of experience.
Responsibilities would include:
o Coordinate project needs with lead drilling supervisor and CMT field manager
o Prepare proposals and meet with customers
o Coordinate with customer project start up and updates.
o Meet with project design teams as necessary
o Participate in RFP and RFQ preparation and presentations
o Review invoicing
o Prepare and coordinate change orders
o Participate in collections of customers
o Define scopes for geotechnical investigations..
o Obtain drilling permits and stake boring locations in the field
o Provide drill crews with all necessary information to perform test borings and supervise drill crews in the field.
o Classify soil samples recovered from test borings.
o Provide layout support of boring locations.
o Log bore holes when necessary
o Perform settlement calculations and pile capacity calculations based on the results of test borings.
o Prepare geotechnical reports.
o Oversee pile driving, vibration monitoring and soil improvement projects.
o Perform pre-construction structure condition surveys.
o Train Junior engineering staff as needed
o Review and sign materials testing (concrete and soils) reports
o Train field technicians in the proper ways to perform tests.
o Oversee materials testing projects to ensure the proper tests are being performed, that tests are being performed at the required frequency, and to ensure that project specifications are being met.
o Assist in the accreditation of our laboratory
o Attend pre-construction project meetings
o Work with Field services and laboratory manager in above tasks
The following are additional responsibilities could be included if the candidate has experience in these areas:
o Perform structural inspections of buildings under construction.
o Assist in the training and oversight of inspectors.
o Ensure that inspections are being performed to comply with project specifications.
1. Florida PE.
2. 5 to 10 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience.
3. Geotechnical consulting engineering experience including drilling and materials testing.
4. Project Management experience.
