MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT-INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING

NEWBURGH, IN
The Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for leading, coaching, developing, and motivating maintenance personnel to achieve department objectives in a timely, safe, and environmentally compliant manner.
Lead craft supervision and/or planning group; has the ability to perform maintenance supervision duties for any area of the production center.
Partner with asset owners to manage asset health across their production center. Facilitate productive relationships and effective communication between the Maintenance department and the other plant production and support departments.
In conjunction with the production area lead team, the Maintenance Superintendent will facilitate positive labor relations within the Maintenance department. Function as the company’s maintenance representative involving union contract issues.

The Superintendent will work to ensure the execution of any of the financial goals and expectations set for each respective year.
Deploy technical training to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance personnel to achieve reliability goals.
manage a comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance program while sustainably minimizing repair & maintenance cost.
Oversees outage planning process.
Setting/reviewing annual development and performance objectives for salaried employees
Actively participating in the development of the department's annual budget and controlling R&M and other costs
Ensuring the daily management boards are developed, implemented, and maintained so as to facilitate appropriate focus on the department’s objectives, performance, and improvements being made
Develop functional competence in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for supervisors and crafts employees.
Qualifications

8+ years of progressively increasing leadership experience in maintenance or engineering within industrial, commercial, or military environments.
Project leadership and planning experience. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or business related field.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Must be able to develop direct reports to facilitate career growth.
Proven ability to lead a team to success
Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent working knowledge of his/her respective areas
Results-orientation



Preferred Qualifications:



10+ years’ experience in mechanics, machine operations, electric-electronics, instrumentation, or associated maintenance within industrial, commercial, or military environment.
CMRP certification. Industrial manufacturing experience. Leadership experience within a unionized workplace.
