Standards and Regulations Manager-- Mobility Solutions

Job description


  • Monitor and influence standards and regulatory developments for the subject matter areas within scope of responsibilities

  • Own execution of mobility solutions regulatory strategy to support the company’s business strategy

  • Maintain a strong grasp of regulatory guidance and trends, ensuring that information is disseminated across the organization for effective decision-making; may involve executive education to ensure senior leaders have a good understanding of the mobility solutions regulatory landscape

  • Recommend positions to the organization and obtain feedback from applicable stakeholders, resulting in agreed upon position

  • Represent us in external organizations, including technical standards organizations, industry groups, and/or the government

  • Collaborate globally on standards and regulatory development to ensure awareness and alignment

  • Influence external organizations to move positions forward, supporting internal technological, solution and business developments

  • Responsible for comprehensive transition of published standard or regulation (includes communication plan and hand-off to business readiness lead)

  • Ability to lead, as well as be part of, a project team that drives solutions by quickly establishing rapport and credibility within the organization, at all levels   

  • Balanced approach of enterprise/strategic thinking as well as tactical/process improvement; looking for a business problem solver

  • Ability to take a vision and make it come to life by getting buy-in and executing a project plan from design to implementation

    What are the nice-to-have skills?
    -gov't affairs experience (i.e. partnerships with DOT, EPA, FCC) -OEM/automotive experience -community relations/Board of Director exp
