Head of Commercial Liquidity--Banking

As part of Enterprise Payments team, you will lead the development of the Bank’s Commercial Sweep Platform.  You will be responsible for managing our operating deposit products, excess liquidity products and specialty deposit products.  The Head of Commercial Liquidity is responsible for all aspects of the Commercial Deposit products including product planning and discovery, product profitability, new product development and strategic direction.  As a leader of the team, this individual will also work with other Product and Pricing Managers to drive forward initiatives and accelerate progress towards strategic initiatives by demonstrating product expertise, thought leadership, market support, client experience and partnering.  In this leadership role you will manage a team of Sr. Product Managers and have overall responsibility for our liquidity P&L.  This role will work directly with Senior Leaders across the organization to identify best practices in risk management and increase Key’s profitability through multiple channels (digital, analytics, sales, product development and portfolio optimization.  The right candidate will have a blend of financial acumen and technical skills, which together will enable them to drive and influence fact-based decision making with senior leadership across different lines of business.  They are comfortable navigating, partnering, and communicating in a large organization and across many different stakeholders.    

 

Job Functions

 

  • Manage a team of product managers focused on developing liquidity strategies and capabilities

  • Provide overall guidance and direction on how to best identify risks in the portfolio

  • Build out the framework to maximize return on risk for payment products

  • Manage our third party relationship with Intrafi

  • Manage the firms brokered deposit relationships

  • Manage the firms Sweep Program, operating deposits and excess liquidity products

  • Layout the companies strategic plan for liquidity offerings and support the banks goal of being every clients primary bank

  • Work closely with internal partners, including Payment Advisors, Relationship Managers, 2nd line Risk and Product Management to support best in class risk management and portfolio strategies, including modeling client & bank impact to ensure pricing outcomes balance risk and return

  • Support process development and communication efforts to ensure internal engagement models and process flows align with business strategy

  • Develop and maintain analytically based portfolio management strategies and tracking metrics to drive profitable client growth

  • Develop metrics and forecasts which correlate with profitability drivers

  • Partner with Product Management and Sales to create and implement standardized portfolio management processes

  • Support client profitability profiling and benchmarking efforts by industry and segment

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Information Management preferred or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Development, Treasury Management, Product Strategy, or consulting

  • 5+ years of management experience

  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred.

  • History of building and developing strong teams

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset.  Ability to identify business opportunities, develop a strategic plan to capitalize on those opportunities, and tactically implement the plan.

  • Direct product P/L responsibility.

  • Understanding of Commercial Banking deposit products and segment needs through demonstrated portfolio management experience.

  • Demonstrated communication.  Must be able to create and conduct executive level presentations, present at industry venues, and interface with the media and clients as appropriate.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to forecast.  Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills.   

  • An ability to champion change, influence others, and foster teamwork.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data query and reporting knowledge.
