Manage a team of buyers to secure sources for parts and assemblies
Escalation path for Junior Procurement Professionals
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, PMs, MPMs in securing the best solutions for new or existing programs
Proactively manage the supply base reporting to the Production Procurement Manager to achieve our site goals
Research and benchmark current market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges for each commodity
Develop and implement spend management strategies including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, make vs. buy analyses, vendor managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, commodity roadmaps, and procurement/stakeholder collaboration
Develop, implement and manage proposal activities
Lead negotiation and completion of contracts with strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits for the company IVS
Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with internal customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and SCM team members
Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including leading periodic business reviews, monitoring and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership), managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans
Establish, implement, report and socialize on specific, actionable, measurable, achievable, time specific goals and objectives and related performance
Travel as required and approximately less than 15%


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a commodity/procurement management role, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of Prior related experience
5-7 Years of experience of Demonstrated management expertise in multiple indirect commodities
5-7 Years of experience of Demonstrated negotiation skills
5-7 Years of experience of Understanding of Contractual Terms and Conditions and how to mitigate risk
5-7 Years of experience of Thorough understanding of MRP systems and processes
5-7 Years of experience of Knowledge and experience with DoD procurement Requirements and practices including FAR & DFAR procurement requirements
5-7 Years of experience of Project management experience
Must have experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint for purposes of data analysis and creation of presentations
Preferred Additional Skills:

Cost Point ERP System Experience
MBA or Graduate degree
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Certified Professional Contract Manager
Strong understanding of Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, and material logistics
Cost analysis experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
Global sourcing experience
