Job Responsibilities: This position serves as a senior leader in the HR organization and is responsible for managing all recruiting staff and recruiting activities/strategies for the company's Operations. Primary responsibilities will include:
Assures that Human Resources activities pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) are in strict compliance with all the company policies and procedures and with governmental laws and regulations. Establishes realistic goals for EEO and Affirmative Action plans and provides support to achieve them. Interfaces, as company representative, with government agents conducting audits on the company’s employment policies and practices.
Counsels with managers, supervisors, and employees at all levels to develop recruitment strategies.
Determines Internet and print recruiting strategies to ensure attracting and recruiting the best candidates. Writes and places job advertising in various media.
Develops and maintains contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, and other sources of applicants.
Manages the maintenance of data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Conducts exit interviews.
Administers Relocation Program for internal transfers and new hires.
Manages employees involved in the recruiting process.
Manages the corporate Engineer Training Program (ETP). Develop technical training assignments for engineers and monitor ETP progress.
Representation--provides a positive first impression; acts as the “face of the business” to prospective hires; professional; maintains and furthers the company's brand as a preferred employer in the marketplace
Organizational awareness--proactively recognizes business climate and hiring needs; understands technical requirements of positions; translates internal awareness to external candidate attraction; advances diversity and technical expertise within the organization
Communication--interacts with hiring leaders to discover needs; provides information on candidate status; furnishes legal information and facilitates approvals
Organization and structure--works within existing structures of requisition, reporting, legal compliance, diversity, etc.; functions with a high level of attention to detail and data where applicable
Continuity of success--ensures smooth candidate transition process; contributes to onboarding and development architecture and ongoing efforts
Accountability--provides candidates to hiring leaders ethically and quickly; measures success with data
Interpersonally adept--works successfully with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders; empathizes with both job seekers and hiring leaders
Adaptive--moves between open positions, candidates at varying stages of process, hiring leader needs and other responsibilities seamlessly; maintains awareness and systems to solve problems or provide service
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field from an accredited institution.
This position requires a minimum of seven years of related experience.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Knowledge of traditional and on-line recruitment options
Must be familiar with a variety of fields, functional and academic concepts, practices, and procedures.
Must be a strong negotiator with strong sales skills.
Possess a thorough understanding of sourcing strategies
Possess the ability to build relationships, strong follow-up skills, excellent listener, and be personable and approachable.
Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of job boards and websites.
