LEAD C/C++ SOFTWARE ENGINEER (SECRET)

RESTON, VA
Our client is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a desire to lead software applications through the entire software development life cycle. This position will utilize a strong base of engineering principles, theories and techniques and a passion for relevant new technologies.

 

Essential Functions:

Lead and/or participate in the entire software development life cycle including software design, implementation, code reviews, integration and debugging for new products and existing ones.
Drive continuous iterative agile like software planning and development.
Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure design and implementation meet customer requirements.
Lead the entire software development life cycle including software design, implementation, code reviews, integration and debugging for new products and existing ones.
Planning, tracking and scheduling software deliverables, for agile like software development.
Architect, develop, and document software solutions.
Training and overseeing the activities of the members of the development team.


Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline and 9+ years of relevant professional experience, OR, graduate degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline and 7+ years of relevant professional experience
6 years of related C/C++ software development experience.
Experience leading a software development team or a lead developer on a program.
Inter-process communication and multi-threaded programming experience.
Experience working with Linux systems and Network programming.
Experience with database technologies (MySQL).
Experience with Atlassian tools.
Active Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:
DevOps experience.

Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance.
