Responsibilities include the following:
  • Member of team responsible for Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF) Specialty Technical Sales.  Area of Sales is primarily focused on the automotive industry.
  • Accountable to develop and execute technical sales strategies for key GCF customers in the US market with potential for global expansion.   
  • Responsible for developing and executing strategies which will position to successfully realize targeted growth.
  • Plays a critical role in the sale of new innovative products consistent with GCF’s drive for revenue growth from new products.            
 
 Key Accountabilities
  • Generate solutions and value to the automotive industry customer through technical sales in the field of polymers, thermoplastics, and injection molding
  • Create, foster, and implement appropriate and sustainable strategies / tactics on assigned accounts simultaneously.
  • Operate as the primary and central interface between all assigned customers and Specialty sales management
  • Develop relevant and strategic relationships with customer personnel in key / decision making roles, including front office, production, and executive level
  • Identify customer need by listening, analyzing, and understanding customer processes; target solutions that close the gap and build a deep partnership of trust
  • Track process of all Specialty related programs at each customer location, frequently and appropriately communicating to the Specialty Sales Team information required to move customer to the next level
  • Establish budgets, provide forecasts to optimize resources and achieve success for the Specialty program
  • Work with customer to implement Specialty blending processing techniques that ensure successful molding trials, factoring in specific equipment of the customer
  • Assist customer(s) with general technical services pertaining but not limited to mold / tool design, product / industrial design in order to speed implementation of Specialty composites by customer
  • Provide centralized technical training for both customers and Specialty Sales personnel
  • Update the Specialty technical processing guide, as changes occur
  • Leverage IP’s enterprise capabilities to enhance the customer relationship and create value.
 
Knowledge and Experience:
  • B.S. Engineering, or related technical field of study, MBA preferred
  • Proven track record in progressively greater, more complex sales’ roles, with a minimum of 10+ years of experience.
  • Hands on polymer, thermoplastic, injection molding, automotive experience required
  • Understanding of polymer and mechanical engineering required  
  • Exceptional understanding / knowledge of global manufacturing processes, with capability to work effectively across diverse cultures, production to executive level personnel and time zones
  • Travel:  significant travel in local market, with travel in North America required
