The SEM Manager will manage a portfolio of campaigns and develop SEM optimization plans to drive revenue efficiently for the Consumer Business Unit in the Americas region, in collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams, including analytics, creative, product marketing, optimization, legal, finance, and other marketing channels.
This role requires the ability to deliver on SEM strategies and tactics, own a number and plan, and manage day to day SEM account management (keyword management, account structure, ad copy, landing page, and bid optimization). Experience in managing SEM in-house is a strong requirement for this role.
  • Develop SEM strategies and roadmaps to drive volume, efficient CPAs, and profit margins in accordance with company targets.
  • Monitor, review, and report on Americas SEM activities and results to Team Lead. Manage and effectively pace large budgets; understand the importance of financial metrics.
  • Drive the execution, best practice implementations, and optimization of SEM programs, including keyword expansion, account structure, ad copy, landing pages, and keyword bid management for the assigned portfolio.
  • Serve as a subject matter/domain area expert on multiple projects.
  • Stay abreast of and share changes in search engine signals, market share, competitive landscape, and new advances in search engine marketing
  • With Team Lead and Marketing Analytics, drive forecasting and budgeting for the assigned portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other marketing channels, analytics, product marketing, legal and the eCommerce platform teams
  • Bachelor's Degree with a marketing or quantitative background.
  • 8+ years of experience of account management & optimization of large-scale paid search programs, preferably for well-established e-Commerce sites and subscription models.
  • AdWords certified
  • 1+ years of Experience with bid management platforms / automation tools such as Marin, Kenshoo or DoubleClick
  • Takes initiative to get projects completed, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Data driven, performance marketing, and sales mindset, with the drive to deliver on quarterly revenue and CPA targets
  • SEM copy writing skills
  • Analytical problem solver with experience with Adobe Site Catalyst and Google Analytics
