POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
The position of Trade Compliance Administrator is primarily responsible for supporting our global Trade (import/export) programs. On going, this position will be responsible for the day to day processing of the North America import and export activity; maintaining the various Trade reporting systems and the related classification, valuation, trade agreements record keeping mandated by the respective countries. In addition, this individual will ensure all associated global locations are in full compliance with the import and export laws of the countries where they do business.  
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Oversee import and export filings. This includes monitoring all inbound, outbound to ensure transactions are performed in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining a high level of compliance with all import and export rules and regulations. This also includes the entry reconciliation, bonded warehouse entries, self-filing entry program and related party transactions.
  • Ongoing development and management of standardized audit and testing processes needed to identify potential trade compliance issues associated with operational procedures with the locations and/or broker errors.
  • Assist with completing various ITAR or BIS export license applications, creating MLA’s, TAA’s, work with applicable technical engineers on developing formal Commodity Jurisdiction and Commodity Classification Requests, and oversees and manages approvals of these various governmental applications when received
  • Maintains license files in a database of current and expired licenses, including tracking of in-process and pending licenses, compliance monitoring, reporting and recordkeeping. Completes reports on pending and approved licenses/approvals as well as ITAR exemptions, and generate reports when necessary
  • Ensure accuracy and proper retention of all Trade related documentation and records by performing self-audits and testing via ASAT from time to time to ensure compliance to regulations
  • Responsible for determining HTS, ECCN or USML classifications and develop country specific import / export classification matrixes.
  • Provide guidance and oversee accurate preparation of import/export and shipping documentation for international shipments by personnel at various locations
  • Perform customer compliance and reliability screening using the MK Denial RPL tool, screen for EPCI end-use and end-users and review for Red Flags
  • Coordinates requirements for US embargo/sanctions programs, and TCP requirements of ITAR/BIS regulations
  • Will assist the Director of Global Trade Compliance with the implementation of various Trade related programs
  • Ability to develop and conduct regular global trade compliance trainings across business and functions as required.
  • Manage multiple priorities and service multiple customers and ensures timely responses/guidance and completes projects on schedule.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years experience in international trade, import / export operations, and import / export compliance, or equivalent.  Qualified candidates will also have a Broker License and a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Logistics, Transportation, International Business or related field
  • Experience in processing export licenses and agreements at the State and Commerce Departments
  • Strong knowledge of all US Trade Compliance Rules and Regulations. Knowledge of Customs, EAR, ITAR, OFAC and all other related trade legislation, rules, and regulations. Experience in implementing compliance processes in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Individual must be a self-starter
 PREFERRED/DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Prior experience as a Customs Administrator and/or Export Administrator or Broker
  • Oracle experience
  • Developing Trade automation tools/programs
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Organizational agility
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and meet deadlines
