We are actively recruiting a Director to join our Healthcare Analytics team. This team works closely with leaders and teammates across Strategy, Finance, Contracting and Operations. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing the business intelligence strategy for clinical, operational, and financial analytics to support our operations in the California market. The Director will lead and develop a team who will be responsible for developing reporting, technology solutions, and other analytical processes to help improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs.
 
The Director will work with a group of highly motivated teammates with healthcare, health plan, consulting, financial services, and clinical experience. The Director will be expected to successfully manage multiple work streams in a dynamic, fast moving environment and effectively communicate and drive change within their team and with senior executives
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  • Works across operations, contracting, business development and finance departments to drive insights on costs, revenue trends to drive timely and accurate decision-making for leadership team.
  • Identifies opportunities and coordinates with operators and clinicians to optimize overall cost of care across entire spectrum of the DMG delivery channel, including its employed clinics, contracted/capitated providers and Fee-For-Service providers
  • Leads market-wide analytic / reporting intake and prioritization process
  • Develops and supervises direct reports
  • Assists with budgeting, planning and forecasting as directed by the CFO & COO
  • Builds department infrastructure, reporting analyses and strategic databases.
  • Develops and supervises teams of analytics and business intelligence professionals.
 
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
 
EXPERIENCE:
 
Minimum:
  • Over 5 years of experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
 
Preferred:
  • Two or more years of experience in a managed healthcare organization.
  • Four or more years of analytical, financial, research program evaluation experience (2 years of which are substitutable by a graduate degree).
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and other database and statistical software packages.
  • Analytical skills:  Strong quantitative background; detailed knowledge of financial statements and their interrelationships, ability to create detailed financial and operational models (“zero-defect analyses”).  Comfortable aggregating multiple, often nuanced datasets into streamlined analyses. VBA, SQL and/or other programming skills highly desirable
