Facilities Team Leader-Manufacturing/Aerospace

Facilities team leader is expected to:
Manage a staff of maintenance technicians, maintenance utility workers and other facilities trades people.
Lead and direct the troubleshooting of equipment and facilities issues.
Determine the least waste way when utilizing materials, processes, equipment and machinery to improve the company's capabilities.
Prepare summary of actions required and sequence of events for scheduling and implementation.
Determine requirements for projects by understanding customer requirements. Provide coordination and ensures project completion.
Champion waste minimization efforts & systems reliability.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
Prepare work scopes, preventative maintenance routines, bills of materials, requests for quotations, purchase requisitions and other facilities related documents.
Ensure preventative maintenance routines are completed, and entered into CMMS.
Strong need for customer & staff interaction, communications and problem solving.

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering with 4+ years of experience.

Possess an understanding in the following subject areas:
 maintenance programs and management - particularly computerized maintenance management software (CMMS);
 preventive and predictive maintenance practices;
 inventory management;
 maintenance of equipment records and histories;
 manpower planning;
 personnel development;
 labor relations;
 heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration;
 water / sewer & process piping;
 compressors and compressed air systems;
 pumps, piping & plumbing; power transmission;
 hydraulics;
 material handling & storage;
 fire protection;
 energy management;
 instrumentation & controls;
 welding & joining,
 codes & standards;
 industrial equipment specification & selection;
 housekeeping and 5S;
 estimating;
 budgeting & forecasting;
 purchasing procedures and
 scheduling.

Proficient in MS Office applications, Knowledge of SAP applications and MS Project.

At least 4 years of proven performance in job responsibilities described above. Preferably in a aerospace or heavy manufacturing environment.
