Essential Functions of your Genetic Counselor role include the following:
Represent Medical Affairs providing clinical expertise in interactions with Marketing, Business Development, Client Services, Technical Services, Clinical Affairs, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Laboratory, R & D, Bioinformatics, Roche affiliates and other functional groups as needed
Become a subject matter expert in testing technology
Resource for clinical and technical questions related to testing for existing and prospective clients
Analyze medical and scientific literature, clinical outcomes of published studies and effectively communicate knowledge within and outside the organization
Assist department leadership in setting strategic direction
Develop and update scientific and clinical content for current product and product extensions including website, brochures, test reports and training and presentation materials
Survey published literature for relevant publications, review and report internally on competitor technologies
Train internal colleagues, field team, speakers and established and prospective clients either live or by webinar
Prepare abstracts, posters and presentations for regional, national and international meetings
Work with publication planning committee to develop plan and timeline for relevant research and scientific communications. Write manuscripts for publication
Participate in the clinical registry and process improvements by providing outcome data obtained from interactions with clients
Facilitate advisory boards
Identify and complete special projects as needed
Develop and evaluate SOPs as needed

You have a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling and Board Certification with at least 3 years of practice in the prenatal or clinical genetics experience. Along with the following skills:
Ability to develop relationships with current and prospective global clients
Opportunity to travel for regional, national and international meetings as needed
Experience in writing preferred
Experience in CLIA lab or industry setting preferred
