JAPAN ACCOUNT MANAGER– INDUSTRIAL GAS TURBINES

**Please note – this position is located in Japan and we are only looking for Japanese Nationals living in the US who want to move back to Japan.

This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing strategic sales and marketing activities within assigned customer base for the Business Unit.

Essential Functions
o Serves as SPA for Account Management Customer Excellence Plan
o Manages new business development and growth strategies for assigned account.
o Oversees the Long Term Agreement (LTA) life cycle management; e.g., pricing and portfolio management.
o Maintains customer relations and tracks customer service metrics.
o Performs open items tracking and resolution with plant and field staff.
o Performs forecasting; relating market trends to assigned account, budget, and LRP process.
o Performs working capital management:  accounts receivable, payment terms and conditions for base business and extraordinary items; e.g., large tooling packages.

Job Responsibilities
o Prepares reports for internal and external needs (budgets, strategic operating issues, forecasts, etc.).
o Coordinates customer responses on major issues (cost-reduction plans, long-term agreements, terms, conditions, etc.).
o Executes special assignments/projects in response to miscellaneous, periodic requests.

Job Specifications
1. Education:
• This position requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or in a technical discipline; or equivalent experience.
2. Skills and Abilities:
• Training, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are necessary.  Strong sales skills and solution selling orientation and attitude strongly desired.  Strong oral and written communication skills.  Also, the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal organization, corporate functions and customer groups.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to analyze and summarize utilizing Excel and PowerPoint applications necessary.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, arc, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
3. Experience/expertise:
• This position requires a minimum of seven - ten years of sales, marketing, or customer service experience.
• Regular communication in English is a key aspect of the role (including telephone conferences) - a high level of English fluency is essential
• Experience in an international arena, dealing with differing cultures and outlooks also highly desirable.
• Further, experience of working within or alongside a manufacturing arena would be positive.
• Sales experience in a related market area (industrial or aero gas turbines), Six-Sigma experience along with knowledge of investment casting technologies and related processes all seen as desirable but not essential.
