Challenge
The Build and Release team (Continuous Delivery Team) is a critical engineering team automating the end-to-end software delivery process within the Appliance Solutions team. Our team is seeking a Senior Build Engineer to drive our continuous delivery initiatives for the greater Appliance Solutions team. This hands-on engineer will work in a fast paced, agile team environment driving our continuous delivery best practices, support the greater engineering team and play an integral part in further building out our CD pipeline automation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Relentlessly drive to improve the scalability and efficiency of our Continuous Delivery pipeline.
  • Work in an extremely fast paced, collaborative and challenging environment with a focus on driving best practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering and across other business units to keep our release dates on track.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience as a technical build engineer, DevOps engineer or similar role.
  • Outstanding critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Linux and basic Linux administration skills.
  • Strong experience with software builds and tools such as Gradle, Maven and Make. 
  • Experience with static analysis tools such as Sonar and Coverity. 
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages (Python preferred).
  • Proven experience automating software releases in Jenkins.
  • Knowledge and experience with repository managers such as Artifactory and Nexus desirable.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef and Ansible desirable.      
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent required (M.S. Preferred).
