Job Purpose Summary
Responsible for conducting complex chemical studies and quality tests using state of the art analytical equipment. Experiments performed on organic and inorganic compounds and materials. Technical skills and knowledge utilized in projects regarding organization research, production, or operations, utilizing independent judgment within defined parameters to determine an appropriate approach or provide recommendations backed by analytical data.
Accountabilities:
• Quality execution plan: Translate the policy for the own functional area into an operational execution plan for the organizational unit(s) and or third parties and ensure execution hereof.
•Execution Quality Control: Conduct checks within the designated discipline, register performed checks and submit report findings resulting from analytical testing in varying complexities relative to the type of test and test equipment used where necessary, against customer requirements, standards and tolerances and in consultation with relevant internal parties.
•Quality Support: Provide adequate support related to department, ad hoc as well as structural, in consultation with relevant internal specialist within the own discipline and local management.
•Quality systems and reporting: Manage, implement, maintain and improve local Q(SHE) systems in line with FrieslandCampina policy and procedures, relevant legislations, norms and/or client demands.
•People Management: Lead, coach, develop and appraise employees within the person’s expertise/team.
Differentiating factors: •Good command of Chemistry and basic chemical principles and communication skills, both verbal and written for reporting functions as well as interface with other departments when needed.
•Contributes to continuous improvement via the realization of incremental improvements.
•Participates regularly in projects regarding their own areas of expertise.

•Assist with Chemical Inventory
•Performs routine preventive maintenance on analytical test equipment
•Participate in GMP audits
•Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 30 pounds of force on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis, performing such activities as grasping lifting, reaching and repetitive tasks
•All other duties, as assigned. Work Environment •Will stand or sit for long periods of time •May need to work alternate shift schedules as necessary •May spend considerable amount of time compiling data at a computer •May be required to work during weekend hours if projects require
