Our client is seeking a QC Technician for the Belen, NM area. The QC Technician position is accountable for conformity of finished product to specifications. Our Healthcare Packaging segment, a member of the Medical Specialties Business line of the business unit, focuses on protecting pharmaceuticals and other healthcare products from the major pathways to drug degradation, particularly moisture and oxygen. Healthcare Packaging manufactures a full range of controlled atmosphere packaging solutions including pharmaceutical desiccants, equilibrium sorbents, adsorbent polymers, oxygen scavengers and pharmaceutical closures and containers.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify quality principles related to products and processes (monitoring, measuring, continuous improvement)
  • Define & apply continuous improvement techniques- Lean mfg, 8D, PDCA, etc to solve quality problems
  • Document Control - Create and update GMS documents including SOP and Work Instructions
  • Define & determine the applicable statistical technique in various situations (calculations, charts)
  • Supportive knowledge of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) (hand tools, Gages, weights, balances, scales)
  • Perform gage R&R studies
  • Gage maintenance, handling and storage, tracking
  • Set up and operate QC Lab Equipment
  • Inspection and Test: Perform tests (following a protocol) and make the report with conclusion
  • Prepare Inspection plans and instructions
  • Certificate of Analysis & Certificate of Compliance management
  • Ensure In Process Control charts are within specification
  • Assist to Prepare and Develop new Test Methods
  • Release Raw materials for Production and Finished products for shipments
  • CAPA - Corrective and Preventive Action: Identify and apply corrective and preventive methods for products and processes.
  • Assist QNS coordinator to open, investigate and close customer complaints
  • Pilot Change control and Follow up
  • Assist with Internal & External Audits
  • Liaison with other departments
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree Preferred, or ASQ Certification, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years in similar position
  • Excellent teamwork, PC Communication skills, basic statistics, math, write reports, ability to communicate with other departments.
